Watch the first sneak peek
You can watch the first Survivor 51 sneak peek right here. The nearly two-minute-long clip was released during the season finale of Survivor 50: In the Hands of the Fans. “A new crop of players is about to birth a new kind of game,” Jeff Probst says in the preview. But this doesn’t mean the game will be unrecognizable to longtime fans – why, is that an old-fashioned, premiere-episode marooning we spy? See the sneak peek for yourself:

The Survivor 51 cast consists of first-time players. While CBS has not yet announced the names, they’ve given us the faces – and personalities – via the Survivor 51 sneak peek clip, released May 20, 2026.
What Jeff Probst has said about the new season
At the Survivor 50 finale, Jeff Probst said Survivor 51 is the start of the show’s open era. What’s that? “The open era is taking … the idea that anything that has ever happened, at any time on the show, can happen in any season – at any time, in any order, without any warning,” Probst said on the Survivor 50 finale.
If you’re keeping score, Survivor seasons 41-49 are considered the show’s new era (with Survivor 50 being a bit of a mashup, with old-school players competing alongside new-era players, in an unpredictable, or open, game environment).
Probst, for one, has given Survivor 51 his endorsement. “We’ve shot 51. It is a very fun [season],” he said.
