18. Watson

What it’s about: Why it’s elementary, dear reader. Watson is about Dr. Watson, the keenly intelligent and faithful friend of Sherlock Holmes. That should sound pretty familiar. But in this CBS Original iteration of the classic detective tales, this famous physician (here portrayed by Morris Chestnut) is a 21st-century “doc-tective,” a medical investigator who solves (what else?) medical mysteries – and, in early episodes, aims to figure out what happened to the presumed-dead Holmes.
Why you should watch it: Like any good procedural, its narratives are a delight to watch unfold. And like any good Holmes-and-Watson story, those same narratives travel from point A to B with plenty of twists in between. Watson produced two seasons. All episodes from Watson are now streaming on Paramount+.
