Sunday Ticket is available through YouTube TV. Subscribers get every out-of-market Sunday game that’s available on CBS/Paramount+ and FOX. It does not include primetime games (Thursday Night Football, Sunday Night Football, Monday Night Football, international games or matchups on holidays or Wednesday/Saturday games).

In addition, Peacock holds exclusive rights to a Week 17 on Jan. 2, 2027 at 8 PM ET/5 PM PT, while Netflix will host a Week 18 matchup.

Now, let’s get into details from each broadcaster and streaming service.

As mentioned above, the NFL has multiple agreements with broadcasters and streaming subscription service providers that spread out the weekly NFL slate.

CBS/Paramount+

CBS/Paramount+ features single- or double-header Sunday afternoon games, presented by CBS Sports, and aired under the NFL on CBS banner, that primarily focus on AFC teams, although recently there are an increasing number of NFC tilts as well. Teams such as the Chiefs, Bills, Steelers, Patriots, and Broncos will appear on CBS at least nine times during the 2026 NFL season.

Access to the games on CBS/Paramount+ will vary based on your local market. If you live in the Baltimore area, for instance, then come Week 1, you can expect your local CBS station to air the NFL on CBS‘ Ravens-Colts game. And, conversely, you can expect your local station to not carry that day’s NFL on CBS Bills-Texans game. If your local team is on a bye, or played earlier/later in the day/week, then some Sundays you’ll be treated to a matchup or two featuring out-of-market teams.

On Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, Nov. 26, CBS/Paramount+ will also broadcast a national game at 12:30 PM ET, featuring the Bears and Lions

CBS/Paramount+ is also the home to multiple AFC playoff games, including the 2027 AFC Championship Game, set for Sunday, Jan. 31, 2027. The playoff games will also be available nationally.

FOX

FOX/FOX One is the CBS/Paramount+ counterpart, with its slate of Sunday afternoon games focusing on the NFC. Like CBS/Paramount+, FOX also broadcasts a selection of AFC showdowns.

FOX games also vary based on location. Each Sunday they highlight a major matchup that they deem “America’s Game of the Week.”

On Sunday, Nov. 15, 2026, FOX will air the Patriots-Lions international game from Munich, at 9:30 AM ET/6:30 AM PST.

FOX will air the middle game of a triple-header on Thanksgiving, which is a divisional rival battle between the Eagles and Cowboys. They will also broadcast the Rams-Seahawks showdown on Christmas at 8:15 PM ET.

The broadcaster also has the rights to multiple NFC playoff games — including the NFC Championship Game on Jan. 31, 2027.

NBC/Peacock

NBC is the home of Sunday Night Football, a primetime matchup that concludes the Sunday slate of NFL games. Those games are also simulcast on the Peacock streaming service.

NBC/Peacock also own the rights to two Wild Card playoff games, and a Divisional round playoff matchup.

The first SNF game will feature the Cowboys visiting the Giants in Week 1. NBC/Peacock also has the broadcast rights to the NFL’s Kickoff Game in Week 1, which will be played on Wednesday, Sept. 9. And, as previously mentioned, Peacock will exclusively stream a Week 17 Saturday game.

NBC/Peacock will broadcast the final game of the Thanksgiving Day triple-header: a matchup between two AFC powerhouses in the Chiefs and Bills.

ABC/ESPN

The weekly NFL slate concludes with Monday Night Football, which is simulcast on ABC and ESPN. A select number of games also feature additional telecasts, such as ESPN2’s ManningCast.

MNF games will be played from Weeks 1 through 17. There is no Week 18 MNF game. The first MNF game of the season will be an AFC West tilt between the Broncos and the Chiefs on Monday, Sept. 15 at 8:15 PM ET/5:15 PM PT.

The broadcasts are also available on the ESPN streaming service.

ABC/ESPN will broadcast a Wild Card round, and Divisional round playoff game. It is also home of Super Bowl LXI on Sunday, Feb. 14, 2027 at 6:30 PM ET/3:30 PM PT. And while ABC is a Super Bowl veteran, Super Bowl LXI will be the first NFL championship game carried by ESPN.

NFL Network

NFL Network will broadcast seven regular season NFL games in 2026. Five of those games will be international games at 9:30 AM ET/6:30 AM PT, in Weeks 4-7 and 9.

Those games are:

  • Week 4 (Sunday, Oct. 4): Colts vs. Commanders (London)
  • Week 5 (Sunday, Oct. 11): Eagles vs. Jaguars (London)
  • Week 6 (Sunday, Oct. 18): Texans vs. Jaguars (London)
  • Week 7 (Sunday, Oct. 25): Steelers vs. Saints (Paris)
  • Week 9 (Sunday, Nov. 8): Bengals vs. Falcons (Madrid)

NFL Network will also air two Week 16 Saturday games on Dec. 26. The matchups have yet to be announced.

Prime Video

During the regular season, the NFL’s TV week kicks off with Thursday Night Football action on Amazon’s Prime Video.

Prime Video does not have the rights to Week 1’s TNF game between the Rams and 49ers. That game will be broadcast on Netflix on Thursday, Sept. 10 at 8:35 PM ET/5:35 PM PT.

TNF’s first Prime Video broadcast will be in Week 2 between the Lions and Bills and run through the final week of the campaign (Week 18).

Prime Video also has the exclusive rights to the Black Friday game on Friday, Nov. 27, between the Broncos and Steelers. In addition, Prime has the rights to the Christmas Eve tilt featuring the Texans and Eagles.

Any Amazon Prime subscriber will have access to the company’s Prime Video streaming service.

Streaming options explained

Now that we’ve listed the various broadcast rights, let’s dig into the streaming service options for how NFL fans can watch games this season.

Paramount+

Paramount+ subscribers will be able to watch any local game that’s available on CBS, which, as we mentioned, will mostly be AFC tilts.

Subscribers will also get access to every NFL playoff game on CBS.

With the majority of NFL games being played on Sunday, and on either CBS/Paramount+ or FOX, it’s a vital service to subscribe to, even if you’re a casual football fan.

Peacock

Peacock subscribers can stream Sunday Night Football games that are also simulcast on NBC, along with an exclusive Week 17 Saturday matchup and two playoff games.

Subscribers can time their subscription to get access to those three games later in the season.

Prime Video

Thursday Night Football games are exclusive to Amazon Prime subscribers. If you’re in a market with the game but you’re not a subscriber then don’t worry. The NFL mandates that games must be broadcast on local over-the-air television within the competing teams’ home markets.

Prime Video offers multiple simulcasts — including Prime Vision with Next Gen Stats, which is for dedicated football fans who enjoy a more analytical viewing of the game. The broadcast includes the All-22 camera view and data overlays that show real-time tracking.

NFL+

NFL+ features live preseason NFL games, local and primetime games on mobile, NFL Network, live game audio, among other features. NFL+ Premium includes everything previously listed, along with NFL RedZone, game replays and NFL Pro, which includes Next Gen Stats and All-22 film.

This service is for the more mobile-friendly subscribers, along with hardcore fans who want to see every preseason game, replays and more.

YouTube TV and live-TV streaming services

YouTube TV has exclusive rights to NFL Sunday Ticket, which is for the Sunday slate of games for out-of-market fans. For example, if you live in New York, but you’re a Cowboys fan, then you’ll get access to Dallas’ games, even if they’re not available locally on CBS/Paramount+ or FOX.

NFL Sunday Ticket also includes an add-on of the RedZone Channel, which shows live look-ins of every single game on the Sunday afternoon schedule. It’s perfect for fans who don’t want to focus on a single game or fantasy football players who want to watch the best moments from all of the matchups.

It should be noted that Sunday Ticket does not include primetime games. It’s for the Sunday afternoon slate only.

ESPN streaming options

The ESPN streaming app allows fans to watch every Monday Night Football matchup, along with playoff games. The ESPN streaming app will also stream the network’s first-ever Super Bowl.

Which service gives you the most NFL coverage?

Deciding which service(s) to get is the ultimate question for football fans who want to watch NFL games.

Let’s dive in based on what kind of fan you are.

For the casual fan, it depends if they are able to access local over-the-air television. If you can watch local channels, such as CBS, ABC, NBC and FOX, then, as a casual fan, you have access to games on Sunday afternoon, Sunday night and Monday night. The problem is, you won’t be able to choose specific matchups you can watch. You’ll be subjected to whichever local games are on CBS, NBC, FOX and ABC.

For fans who want to choose or supporters of individual teams, then YouTube TV’s Sunday Ticket might be the best option. Sunday Ticket allows out-of-market fans to watch your teams every Sunday, and if you’re also a fantasy football fan, then adding on the RedZone channel makes a lot of sense. If you are able to watch live over-the-air broadcasts then you’ll be able to get every single game on CBS, FOX, NBC and ABC. YouTube TV subscribers will also get access to the NFL Network, which includes seven games. With the addition of Prime Video, then fans will get nearly every game available, except for outlier games on Netflix and Peacock.

For the hardcore NFL fans and completionists then the above option, with a subscription to Netflix and Peacock will get you every single game available to the market. The ideal move is to time the subscription correctly. Add Netflix for the Week 1 game between the Rams and 49ers, then re-subscribe on Thanksgiving and again on Christmas. Do the same for Peacock for their Week 17 exclusive game and playoff matchups.

For any fan who doesn’t have access to the local over-the-air television (CBS, NBC, ABC and FOX), it’s highly recommended to subscribe to Paramount+, Prime Video, Peacock and ESPN.

How to watch NFL playoff games

The NFL playoff games are spread across CBS/Paramount+, FOX, ABC/ESPN, and NBC/Peacock. Playoff matchups are also available on the NFL+ service, but they are limited to mobile devices and tablets.

For the Wild-Card and Divisional Rounds, CBS/Paramount+, FOX and ESPN all will broadcast games. Peacock holds exclusive rights to one Wild-Card game as well.

For the Conference Championships, CBS/Paramount+ will host the AFC Championship Game while FOX airs the NFC Championship Game.

Super Bowl LXI will be simulcast on ABC and ESPN.

How to watch NFL games without cable

Watching NFL games without cable is easier than ever.

With a robust selection of streaming options, NFL fans can avoid cable. They’ll need to subscribe to Paramount+, FOX One, Prime Video, NFL Sunday Ticket, Peacock and ESPN’s streaming service. In addition, fans can also subscribe to NFL+.
