Allison Tolman (FargoCastle Rock) and Nick Frost (Fighting with My FamilyShaun of the Dead) will appear in Season 2 of the original anthology series from Creator Marc Cherry (Desperate Housewives, Devious Maids), alongside a new ensemble cast.

The dark comedy's sophomore installment will take place in 1949 and follow Alma (Tolman) and Bertram (Frost), a loving couple that faces marital drama after Alma makes a shocking discovery.

Alma, a timid and awkward housewife, remains optimistic in the face of the world’s cruelty. Her top desires in life include a spot in the local garden club and to see her ungainly daughter married, but the mundanity of her life is shattered when her husband's secret hobby is revealed.

Bertram spends his days as a veterinarian, putting sick and injured animals out of their misery. Always kind and good-humored, Bertram's hobby is darker than his jolly nature would have led one to believe.

The new season of Why Women Kill will explore the true meaning of beauty, the hidden truth behind the facades people present to the world, how being overlooked by society can affect one's psyche, and, finally, the lengths to which one woman will go in order to finally belong.

In addition to Why Women Kill, CBS All Access’ growing slate of original series currently includes The Good Fight, The Twilight Zone, Tooning Out the News, No Activity, Interrogation, The Thomas John Experience and Tell Me A Story, as well as the upcoming limited event series The Stand, That Animal Rescue Show, Texas 6, The Man Who Fell to Earth, The Harper House, For Heaven's Sake, and Guilty Party.
