The cast of The Bold and the Beautiful welcome a new star to their set this week: Australian actor and soap icon Ingo Rademacher!

We caught up with the soap opera legend to get some insight into his role as B&B legacy character Thorne Forrester, and the exciting new perks that come with working at CBS Studios.

What originally drove you to The Bold and the Beautiful?

Ingo Rademacher: The international popularity of the show. I've never been a part of something that is so huge all over the world.

Who are you excited to work with?

Ingo: The entire cast. Because the cast is so small, everyone is so tight-knit and close. It’s been a ton of fun to work with everyone, so far.

What was your first day like on set?

Ingo: It was fast! I've been away from Daytime for a while and was a bit rusty. I definitely had to flex the memory muscle to learn all of the dialogue. But it went great! Everyone was very welcoming.

Whose storyline are you most excited to see unfold?

Ingo: Well, being new to the show, my own.

You’ve been in the daytime genre for a while; what’s the number one thing you’ve learned?

Ingo: To always be prepared and professional.

What do you enjoy the most about getting to work on The Bold and The Beautiful?

Ingo: The location. I love CBS Studios. I’m also looking forward to potentially traveling internationally with the show.

How are you liking your new digs at Television City, and do you have a favorite meal and/or snack from the TVC Cafe?

Ingo: As I said, I love CBS Studios! The location [is] right in the middle of town, and I can walk to so many of my favorite locations. I got to be pretty acquainted with this studio during my time on Dancing With the Stars. It’s great to be back!

Catch Ingo Rademacher as Thorne Forrester on The Bold and the Beautiful Weekdays on CBS and CBS All Access.
