John Oliver Doesn't Think He'll Get Deported, But He's Being Cautious
Stephen Colbert chatted with his old pal John Oliver about the state of American politics.

Stephen Colbert welcomed his old friend John Oliver to The Late Show on Tuesday for an honest discussion of the status of U.S. politics since Trump took office merely weeks ago.

“It is exhausting,” John said. “It feels like his inauguration day was 114 years ago. We have a long way to go. It’s going to be hard. It’s easy to be angry on adrenaline, but it is much, much harder when you are just tired.”
As an English native, John expressed that Trump’s immigration plans have left him feeling unsettled.
“I am slightly concerned,” he said. “I have an American wife and an American son, now, but who knows what’s enough. Having a green card used to be enough, but what we saw with that executive order, that debacle, things were not what they were supposed to be.”
