Actor Anson Mount has been cast as Captain Christopher Pike of the U.S.S. Enterprise in Season 2 of the CBS All Access Original Series Star Trek: Discovery.
Captain Pike was first introduced in the original Star Trek and led the famed ship prior to Captain James T. Kirk.
Mount’s previous credits include AMC’s Hell On Wheels and the film Non-Stop.
Star Trek: Discovery follows the voyages of Starfleet on their missions to discover new worlds and new life forms, and one Starfleet officer who must learn that to truly understand all things alien, you must first understand yourself.
