New Live-Action YA Series School Spirits Coming To Paramount+
Peyton List will star in the eight-episode season based on upcoming graphic novel by Nate and Megan Trinrud and Maria Nguyen.

Imagine this: you’re a teen in high school, ready to graduate and move on to the adventures ahead. But not so fast! Turns out you’re a ghost, fated to haunt the halls of your high school until you can figure out what caused your untimely death. Talk about redefining the term School Spirits!
The new eight-episode series School Spirits will focus on exactly this–a teen girl stuck in the afterlife investigating her mysterious disappearance, teaming up with other high schoolers who are also stuck in limbo.
Starring Peyton List (Cobra Kai, Bunk’d) the series is based on a forthcoming graphic novel by Nate and Megan Trinrud and Maria Nguyen, planned for publication in fall 2023 by Clarion Books/HarperAlley.
Production of School Spirits is overseen by Shauna Phelan and Zack Olin, executive vice presidents and co-heads, Nickelodeon and Awesomeness Live-Action Series and Film. Authors Nate and Megan Trinrud wrote the pilot and serve as Executive Producers on the series alongside Oliver Goldstick (Pretty Little Liars, Bridgerton). Max Winkler is directing the pilot.
School Spirits joins Paramount+’s growing lineup of YA content, including the hit iCarly revival, as well as the upcoming film Honor Society starring Angourie Rice (Spider-Man: No Way Home, Mare of Easttown). Both projects were also produced by Paramount’s Nickelodeon and Awesomeness Live-Action Studios.
