Fatal Attraction, the classic psychosexual thriller and '80s cultural touchstone, is getting a second life on Paramount+, with Lizzy Caplan (Castle Rock, Masters of Sex), Joshua Jackson (Dr. Death), and Amanda Peet (Dirty John: The Betty Broderick Story) set to star in the new series premiering Sunday, April 30.

The deep-dive reinterpretation will explore the themes of Fatal Attraction through the lens of modern attitudes towards strong women, personality disorders, and coercive control.

Caplan will star as Alex Forrest, who becomes obsessed with her lover, Dan Gallagher (Jackson), after a brief affair. Peet will star as Beth Gallagher, a loyal wife, loving mother, and successful small business owner whose world unravels when her husband's indiscretion threatens to destroy their life together.

Additional cast includes:

— Alyssa Jirrels (As We See It) plays Ellen Gallagher, Dan and Beth’s daughter.
— Toby Huss (Halt And Catch Fire, Dickinson) potrtrays Mike Gerard, the DA’s chief of investigations, whose friendship and loyalty to deputy DA Dan Gallagher goes back many years.
— Reno Wilson (Good Girls) appears as Detective Earl Booker, a long-standing member of the Los Angeles Police Department with a large personality and an inability to self-edit.
— Brian Goodman (Rizzoli & Isles) plays Arthur Tomlinson, Beth Gallagher’s best friend and business partner.

From Paramount Television Studios and Amblin Television, Alexandra Cunningham (Dirty John, Chance) serves as Writer, Showrunner, and Executive Producer on the series alongside Executive Producer Kevin J. Hynes (Perry Mason), with whom Cunningham shares co-story credit, and Executive Producers Darryl Frank and Justin Falvey for Amblin Television.

"Alexandra brings an incredibly strong and nuanced point of view to a story that became a cultural phenomenon, but has thus far only been told from the male gaze," said Nicole Clemens, President, Paramount+ Original Scripted Series. "Partnered with Kevin, they will bring the next explosive chapter of this story to a new generation with a balanced eye to the complexities of the human psyche."

Fatal Attraction joins Paramount+’s growing lineup of original series including The Good Fight, Evil, Why Women Kill, Star Trek: Discovery, Star Trek: Picard, and Guilty Party, as well as upcoming series The Offer, The Game, Mayor of Kingstown, 1883, Star Trek: Strange New Worlds, Halo, and more.
