Lions vs. Packers - Where to Watch Live, Game Time & More

Who you got on Sunday?
Posted on Sep 2, 2025 | 06:00am
The Week 1 action is set: The Lions are hitting the road to take on Micah Parsons (yes, Micah Parsons) and the Packers in an NFC North rivalry game on Sunday.

Head Coach Dan Campbell's Lions are coming off a season that, while hampered by key injuries to the likes of Aidan Hutchinson, couldn't have gone more right – right up until their postseason loss in the NFC Divisional round to the Commanders. The hosting Packers, meanwhile, have their own disappointment to overcome. Their 2024-2025 campaign came to a sudden stop with a 22-10 loss in an NFC Wild Card showdown against the Eagles. Now they'll return to Lambeau with Parsons, the 26-year-old All-Pro linebacker acquired via a blockbuster trade with the Cowboys

Lions vs. Packers history

A Lions vs. Packers game doesn't just have history – it's got history books' worth of history. The two teams have been battling it out since 1930, the first year of existence for the Lions franchise, then based in Ohio, and known as the Portsmouth Spartans. (Bonus fun fact: The Packers joined the NFL in 1921.) The Lions and Packers have gone head-to-head a total of 191 times, including twice in the postseason. The Packers hold the edge in the series, going 106-78-7. The Lions have won six of the last seven matchups dating back to the 2022 season.
