Stephen Mangan
Played by Stephen Mangan

Sean is one half of the golden couple of British comedy. Easy-going and able to roll with the punches, Sean is excited by their American adventure. Even when things get difficult and the frustrating absurdities of Hollywood reveal themselves, Sean continues to enjoy the spoils of "success." He jumps at Matt’s friendly overtures, and revels in Matt’s world of amazing sports cars and private jets to Vegas. This often renders him the peacekeeper between Matt and the more pragmatic Beverly.

Stephen Mangan first found fame as popular fictional character Adrian Mole in the BBC TV series ADRIAN MOLE: The CAPPUCCINO YEARS, followed by womanizing anaesthetist Guy Secretan in the cult series GREEN WING. The hospital-based comedy won a BAFTA® and was named Comedy of The Year at the 1996 British Comedy Awards®.
Since then, his career has spanned film, TV, theatre and radio, working with the best of British and American talent. He starred opposite Nicole Kidman and Ben Chaplin in BIRTHDAY GIRL and his other movie credits include British romantic comedy CONFETTI, BILLY ELLIOTT, BEYOND THE POLE, and RUSH, directed by Ron Howard.
On television, he was among the all-star cast of the classic British comedy I'M ALAN PARTRIDGE. He also appeared in sitcom NATHAN BARLEY; the comedy drama JANE HALL; ITV's Agatha Christie mystery MISS MARPLE: AT BERTRAM'S HOTEL; and the series NEVER BETTER, FREE AGENTS, and DIRK GENTLY.
Mangan has played Tony Blair in THE HUNT FOR TONY BLAIR in Channel 4's THE COMIC BOOK PRESENTS series and has also provided the voice for Postman Pat in POSTMAN PAT: THE MOVIE.
On stage, he was nominated for a Tony Award for his performance as Norman in THE NORMAN CONQUESTS on Broadway, and most recently, he and Matthew Macfadyen starred as Jeeves and Wooster in PERFECT NONSENSE, winning the Olivier Award for Best New Comedy.
Mangan studied at Cambridge University when he gained a Master of Arts in Law, and went on to the prestigious Royal Academy of Dramatic Art to train as an actor.
