Ready for Big 10 football?
Posted on Nov 6, 2025 | 08:05am
It's a big-time showdown of ranked Big Ten schools: It's No. 9 Oregon taking on No. 20 Iowa before a sell-out crowd on Saturday at the Hawkeyes' Kinnick Stadium.

Head coach Dan Lanning's visiting Oregon Ducks are 7-1 overall, and 4-1 in Big Ten play. Their lone loss came in October to Indiana. Since that stumble, they've won two straight. They were one of three Big Ten schools, along with Ohio State and their old friends at Indiana, to be awarded top 10 status in the season's first College Football Playoff Rankings, issued Tuesday.

The Iowa Hawkeyes, meanwhile, are winners of three straight. The string of Ws for head coach Kirk Ferentz's squad has improved their record to 6-2 (4-1 in the Big Ten). It also made the case for their inclusion in the College Football Playoff Rankings. Their date with Oregon is one of only a handful of college football matchups this weekend to feature two ranked opponents.
