CBS' Fall 2025 primetime lineup boasts four brand-new shows, including two expansions of hit-series universes you already know and love. There’s Boston Blue, the next chapter in the story of police detective Danny Reagan (Donnie Wahlberg) from Blue Bloods. And there's Sheriff Country, a story set within the same world as Fire Country.
The workplace comedy DMV and The Road, a country-themed music competition from executive producers Taylor Sheridan (yep, the Yellowstone co-creator) Blake Shelton, and headliner Keith Urban, are the other debuting shows.

- DMV Harriet Dyer (Colin From Accounts), Tim Meadows, and Molly Kearney star in this series set at the place most everyone dreads visiting: the Department of Motor Vehicles. Even as they make minimum wage, and perform thankless tasks at a workplace where customers exude annoyance from the moment they walk through the door, these DMV employees know there's at least one thing they can count on: each other.
Drama
- Sheriff Country An extension of Fire Country’s dramatic universe, Sheriff Country is about sheriff Mickey Fox (Morena Baccarin), stepsister of Cal Fire’s division chief Sharon Leone (Diane Farr). Mickey investigates criminal activity in the small town of Edgewater, while also handling the antics of her ex-con father, Wes (W. Earl Brown), and questions involving her wayward daughter.
- Boston Blue As noted above, this show sees Donnie Wahlberg reprise his role from the iconic police drama Blue Bloods. In Boston Blue, detective Danny Reagan takes a position with the Boston police department. There, he's paired with detective Lena Silver (Sonequa Martin-Green, late of Star Trek: Discovery), the eldest daughter of a prominent law-enforcement family. Get ready for Boston Blue with an epic Blue Bloods binge-watch: All episodes of the 2010-2024 show are now streaming on Paramount+.
Reality Competition
- The Road Oscar® nominee Taylor Sheridan, GRAMMY® nominee Blake Shelton, and GRAMMY® winner Keith Urban are among the executive producers of this backstage look into the life of a touring artist. Viewers will get exclusive, behind-the-scenes access into the workings of the music industry, and will watch as up-and-coming country-music performers realize a dream that few have the opportunity to see realized: to join Urban on tour. With these hopefuls performing as opening acts in venues across the country, and GRAMMY® winner Gretchen Wison joining as tour manager throughout the competition, the musicians will battle it out to win over local fanbases, remain on tour, and secure the ultimate prize.
