The team that created "Def Comedy Jam" is behind this similar series, which features performances by three up-and-coming hip-hop comics each episode, plus music created by DJ Cassidy. "Jam" executive producer Russell Simmons helped launch the careers of such notable comics as Chris Tucker, Dave Chappelle and Bernie Mac, and this show aims to repeat that success.
