Oh, the weather outside is frightful, but Colbert is so delightful!
To get in the holiday spirit, we're celebrating with The 12 Days Of Colbert, where we'll be taking a look back at some of the most memorable—and merry!—moments from the past year. Unlike that ugly holiday sweater you'll never wear again, The Late Show is the gift that keeps on giving!
On the ninth day of Colbert, The Late Show gave to us... Five times Stephen stuffed his face with some truly questionable things.

Every holiday season, millions of Americans overindulge on sweets, meats, and boozy treats. Unfortunately, not everything we eat is... well, tasty.
To make you feel better about the obligatory fruitcake your aunt will force you to eat, here are five times Stephen Colbert ate some strange food on The Late Show.
1. The time he choked down a holiday-inspired dish: When Stephen pitted husband-and-wife duo Nick Offerman and Megan Mullally against each other for a special edition of "Smooshed," he had no idea he'd be eating a plate of eggnog-covered ham with fruitcake crumbles. Thankfully, he had plenty of bourbon available to help wash it all down.
2. The time he ate brains: Intestines, opossum, and brains—oh, my!
Stephen knew he was going to expand his culinary horizons when he invited chef and TV personality Andrew Zimmern to the show; but, nothing could have really prepared him for the adventure his taste buds took.
3. The time he devoured Swedish fish eggs: Alexander Skarsgård dared Stephen to eat some creamed smoked roe out of a tube—and, well, it was painful.
4. The time he put booze in his cereal: After learning that RNC Chairman Reince Priebus takes his Lucky Charms with Baileys, Stephen and Tom Hanks, poured themselves a heaping bowl of what turned out to be quite delicious.
5. The time he dipped a carrot in a Twinkie: During her time in the White House, First Lady Michelle Obama campaigned to make nutritious foods and physical activities more accessible for children across the country.
So, when she stopped by Stephen's blanket fort, he had a platter of veggies ready for snacking—or, as he demonstrated, for dipping in frosting.
