God has a history of opening up the heavens for his good pal Stephen Colbert.

Oh, the weather outside is frightful, but Colbert is so delightful!

To get in the holiday spirit, we're celebrating with The 12 Days Of Colbert, where we'll be taking a look back at some of the most memorable—and merry!—moments from the past year. Unlike that ugly holiday sweater you'll never wear again,
The Late Show is the gift that keeps on giving!

On the seventh day of Colbert, The Late Show gave to us... Five times God dropped by the show.

Between the presidential election and major sports upsets (or, wins, depending on your team), 2016 has proven to be a trying year for many across the United States—and beyond! In fact, this year was so stressful that even God needed someone to confide in. Luckily, he found a friend in Stephen Colbert.

Here are 5 times God dropped by the Ed Sullivan Theater for a chat.

1. The time he couldn't believe Trump was actually running for President: Stephen broke the news of Trump's presidential campaign to God back in May, and God... Well, he wasn't super happy about the news.

"What is wrong with you people," he asked the audience. "I give you free will, and you nominate a guy who looks like a microwaved Circus Peanut?"

2. The time God had some confessions of his own to share: From circumcision to rocks, God had a lot to say.

3. The time God wanted to stop a fugitive to cash in on the reward: Hey, Heaven's kitchen isn't going to remodel itself.

4. The time God rooted for the Cleveland Cavaliers: If you lost a bet on the NBA Championship game, you now know who to blame.

5. The time God announced he'd run for President: He may not have had a running mate, but his doctor's note was solid.
