Costa Rica were unable to upend Nicaragua on the road in their first group match, while Haiti equalized with Honduras in an uneventful fixture.

Jamaica are off to an excellent start, as they scored four goals versus Bermuda, while Trinidad & Tobago had to settle for a draw against Curacao.

Curacao returned from Trinidad & Tobago with a point thanks to a nil-nil, while Bermuda were played off the park by Jamaica a few days ago.

Panama shared the spoils with Suriname in a goalless game away in the first tilt of the last group stage, while Guatemala lost to El Salvador.

El Salvador started the third phase of the World Cup qualifiers on the right foot by nipping Guatemala away, while Suriname drew with Panama at home.

Nicaragua recorded three wins and one loss, against Panama, in its group in the past phase. Costa Rica came out on top in all four tilts.

Trinidad & Tobago reached this stage over Grenada only thanks to a better goal difference, while Curacao won all four of its matches.

Honduras stayed perfect in the second phase of the World Cup qualifiers. Haiti stumbled once, versus Curacao, but kept the other contenders at bay.

Bermuda finished in front of Cuba by a single point thanks to a late rally to advance. Jamaica swept the competition in its own group.

Guatemala finished second behind Jamaica in the last stage, tallying four victories and one loss. El Salvador prevailed twice and stayed undefeated.

Suriname reached this stage of the World Cup qualifiers by logging 10 points in the previous one, while Panama advanced thanks to four straight wins.
