Comic Jeff Ross has earned the nickname "The Roastmaster General" from his years of hurling insults at fellow comics and guests-of-honor at celebrity roasts. That makes him an ideal choice to serve as host of this weeklong event that takes the common practice of roast battles, during which two comics roast each other with personal jokes, and brings the duels from comedy clubs to the big stage of TV. Sixteen comics compete in a bracket-style tournament that features celebrity judges deciding who wins each battle. Comedian Brian Moses presides over the competition as the referee and is tasked with ensuring the combatants follow the three rules of roast battles: original material only, no physical contact, and every battle ends in a hug. When the final battle has been fought and the dust clears, the winner becomes the first person to earn the title of Roast Battle Champion.
