From John Dutton holding the line in Yellowstone, to James and Margaret Dutton pushing West in 1883, to Jacob and Cara Dutton weathering unforgiving conditions in 1923, each series of the Dutton family saga covers different stories with a similar theme: What it takes to claim space in this country, and what it costs to keep it.

If you’re trying to figure out where to watch every series in the Dutton family universe, including the latest installment, Dutton Ranch (now streaming), we’ve got you covered. Saddle up.

Get Started With Paramount+

Where to watch Yellowstone

You can watch Yellowstone on Paramount Network, the cable network that originally aired the series from 2018-2024. Paramount Network still runs episode reruns and marathons, so check TV listings for air dates and times.

Please note, Paramount+ is not Paramount Network, and vice versa. Paramount+ is a streaming service, while TV Paramount Network is a cable network. Where to watch more Dutton family shows.

Luke Grimes Marshals
CBS

You can watch the origin story series 1883 and 1923 on Paramount+, along with the CBS Original series Marshals. The upcoming original series Dutton Ranch will also stream on Paramount+, and air on Paramount Network.

Here’s a look at each series:

1883

The Dutton legacy here. From creator Taylor Sheridan, 1883 follows James (Tim McGraw) and Margaret Dutton (Faith Hill) as they leave Texas with their children, and head West in search of land they can call their own. Spoiler alert (but not really): Travel in the 19th century was no pleasure cruise. This generation of Duttons goes through it – and that’s even with a battled-tested Civil War vet (played by Sam Elliott) commanding their wagon train.

Spoiler alert (an actual one this time!): The voice you hear narrating the closing minutes of the Yellowstone series finale, “Life Is a Promise”? That’s the voice of James and Margaret’s daughter, Elsa Dutton (Isabel May), a character we meet for the first time in 1883

Unlike the other shows in this rundown, 1883 is a miniseries. The entire saga unfolds in 10 episodes, all now streaming on Paramount+.

1923

When 1923 begins, the Duttons are established in Montana, with Jacob and Cara Dutton (Harrison Ford and Helen Mirren) running the ranch. In the series premiere, Jacob steps into a dispute between cattle ranchers and sheep herders.

While the fight to protect the ranch continues, 1923 takes us far beyond Montana through Spencer Dutton (Brandon Sklenar), Jacob’s globetrotting nephew, who’s in Africa when the series begins. Spencer’s storyline grows through his romance with Alexandra (Julia Schlaepfer), and their long journey back to the ranch.

Like 1883, 1923 is an original series set in the Dutton family universe created by Taylor Sheridan. You can stream all two seasons on Paramount+.
