New Cast Joins Harrison Ford And Helen Mirren For Taylor Sheridan's 1923

The original series and follow-up to 1883 has started production in Montana.

1923 has lassoed a slate of stellar actors for the next installment of the Yellowstone origin story, debuting in December 2022 on Paramount+.

Joining Academy Award® nominee Harrison Ford as Jacob Dutton, the patriarch of the Yellowstone ranch, and Academy Award® winner Helen Mirren as Cara Dutton, the family matriach, are:

— Brandon Sklenar (The Offer) will play Spencer Dutton, Jacob Dutton's nephew and John Dutton, Sr.'s brother, who has witnessed the horrors of World War I.
Darren Mann (Animal Kingdom) as Jack Dutton, John Dutton Sr.’s son and great-nephew to Jacob Dutton. He is a dedicated rancher who is deeply loyal to his family. 
Michelle Randolph (A Snow White Christmas) will play Elizabeth Strafford, a feisty and capable young woman set to marry into the Dutton family.
— James Badge Dale (Hightown) will play John Dutton Sr., the oldest nephew and right-hand man of Jacob Dutton.
Marley Shelton (Scream) will Darplay Emma Dutton, the dutiful wife of John Dutton Sr. and the mother of Jack Dutton. 
Brian Geraghty (Big Sky) will play Zane, a fiercely loyal ranch foreman.
Aminah Nieves (Blueberry) will play Teonna Rainwater, a young woman at a government residential boarding school.
Julia Schlaepfer (The Politician) will play Alexandra, a British woman who meets one of the Duttons abroad.
Jerome Flynn (Game of Thrones) will play Banner Creighton, a hard-headed Scottish brogue and the leader of the local sheep men.
Jennifer Ehle (Saint Maud) will play Sister Mary O'Connor, an Irish nun that teaches for the School for American Indians in Montana.
Timothy Dalton (License to Kill) will play Donald Whitfield, a powerful, self-confident man who reeks of wealth and the lack of empathy it requires to attain it. He is intimidating and nefarious and is used to getting what he wants.

1923 arrives following the record breaking performance of 1883, the most watched title ever on Paramount+ globally. It will introduce a new generation of the Dutton family and explore the early 20th century when pandemics, historic drought, the end of Prohibition, and the Great Depression all plague the mountain west—and the Duttons, who call it home. 

Production on the series has begun in Montana.
