Episode Guide
Milan vs. Lecce
Milan have yet to put together a complete game but have had strong reactions and are still undefeated. Lecce have logged two wins and two losses.
Juventus vs. Atalanta
Juventus and Atalanta have to turn things around in a hurry after failing to win in back-to-back bouts and losing to smaller teams in the last round.
Parma vs. Genoa
Genoa and Parma have had multiple respectable showings amid a pretty rough schedule, but must start winning to avoid falling behind in the standings.
Frosinone vs. Como
Frosinone nabbed another quality result by sharing the spoils with Genoa away, while Como got past Parma to stay close to the top of the table.
Fiorentina vs. Napoli
Fiorentina benefited from a new coach's bump to grab their maiden win over Venezia. Napoli also bounced back last week after getting tripped up twice.
Venezia vs. Lazio
Lazio have very convincing so far, having picked up seven points in four tilts. Instead, Venezia's coach is under pressure after four straight losses.
Roma vs. Inter
Roma and Inter will do battle in the first proper crunch match of the season, as they are the only two teams to have won their first four games.
Udinese vs. Cagliari
Udinese were toppled by Lazio and Inter after a fast start, while Cagliari are flying high thanks to three victories in the first four contests.
Bologna vs. Torino
Bologna have had encouraging flashes but have yet to take home a game. Torino also need to improve, having prevailed once but lost in the other tilts.
Monza vs. Sassuolo
Despite being plucky, Monza have suffered three losses in four rounds. Sassuolo are coming off a great late win over Juventus, their second so far.
Fiorentina vs. Pisa
Fiorentina will look for some positivity in the cup after a poor start in Serie A, but they'll have to deal with Pisa in a heated Tuscan derby.
Genoa vs. Südtirol
Genoa and Südtirol meet in the second Coppa Italia round after getting past Ascoli and Catanzaro, respectively, in their debuts in early August.
Inter vs. Udinese
Inter have sunk Monza, Lecce, and Napoli to start their campaign on the right foot, while Udinese got tripped up by Lazio after two good results.
Torino vs. Roma
Torino are coming off their maiden win, as they took advantage of Fiorentina's woes. Roma are on the prowl for their fourth consecutive victory.
Como vs. Parma
Como have totaled seven points in three first rounds, looking increasingly menacing. Parma are still sorting out their squad after a busy summer.
Sassuolo vs. Juventus
Sassuolo have collected four points in the first three rounds, while Juventus slightly trail the leading group after equalizing against Milan.
Napoli vs. Bologna
Napoli stumbled in back-to-back difficult matches versus Como and Inter despite okay showings. Bologna got off the mat with a draw against Sassuolo.
Lecce vs. Monza
Lecce started with a solid win but didn't look great afterward. Monza have been fiery in all three tilts but have just one point to show for it.
Atalanta vs. Cagliari
Atalanta took it to Roma but gave up two late goals, enduring their first loss. Cagliari have already bested two of their relegation-struggle rivals.
Lazio vs. Milan
Lazio are one of the early surprises of the season, having won all three contests. Milan shared the spoils with Juventus after two victories.
Genoa vs. Frosinone
Genoa have lost three matches in a row, but their schedule will finally ease up, even though Frosinone have been pesky, winning two of three tilts.
Venezia vs. Fiorentina
Venezia and Fiorentina have both struggled out of the gate and are eyeing their first good result. The guests have opted for a quick coaching change.
Udinese vs. Lazio
Udinese have avoided stumbles in the first two games, sharing the spoils with Como and toppling Monza. Lazio squeezed past both Bologna and Genoa.
Cagliari vs. Lecce
Cagliari notched two one-nil results so far, one in their favor and the other against them. Lecce impressed against Venezia but faltered versus Roma.
Juventus vs. Milan
Juventus and Milan collide in an early big match. While they didn't start as brilliantly as other contenders, they still swept their first two tilts.
Bologna vs. Sassuolo
Bologna had decent displays against Lazio and Atalanta but nothing to show for it. Instead, Sassuolo recorded their first win, over Torino, last week.
Parma vs. Monza
Parma and Monza are still searching for their first points of the season, even though their first few performances weren't entirely discouraging.
Frosinone vs. Venezia
Frosinone grabbed their maiden victory in the second round by throttling Fiorentina, while Venezia went 0-for-2 in the Lecce and Milan matches.
Roma vs. Atalanta
Both teams have picked up six points, but Roma did it with more flair, winning four-nil twice, while Atalanta eked it out versus Bologna and Sassuolo.
Inter vs. Napoli
The Serie A title holders and the runner-ups will tangle in the third round. Inter have gotten the job done so far, while Napoli slipped up once.
Fiorentina vs. Torino
Fiorentina are looking for answers after being pushed around by Roma and Frosinone. Torino have been beaten twice too, but have put up better fights.
Genoa vs. Como
Genoa didn't collect points in their first two tilts, and their run of challenging opponents continues. Como topped Napoli in an early crunch match.
Cagliari vs. Hellas Verona
Cagliari held serve versus Arezzo in the previous stage but had to sweat it out, while Hellas Verona topped fellow Serie B side Virtus Entella on PKs.
Palermo vs. Mantova
Palermo and Mantova upset two Serie A teams in the first round, as they ousted Lazio and Lecce, prevailing with two-nil results in both instances.
Udinese vs. Venezia
Udinese and Venezia meet in a Northeastern derby after knocking out Padova and Modena. Their last few clashes often resulted in high-scoring affairs.
Sassuolo vs. Frosinone
Frosinone and Sassuolo played their Serie B opponents off the park in their first Coppa Italia game, while both started with a loss in Serie A.
Torino vs. Monza
Torino and Monza had rather challenging Serie A debuts, while they ousted Carrarese and Avellino, respectively, in their maiden domestic cup matches.
Parma vs. Cremonese
Parma didn't have to dig too deep to best Catania in the previous Coppa Italia round, while Cremonese had a tougher match-up and defeated Sampdoria.
Atalanta vs. Bologna
Atalanta didn't have a spotless maiden match but corralled three points against Sassuolo. Bologna seemed a big work in progress in the loss to Lazio.
Lecce vs. Roma
Lecce took advantage of their better experience and chemistry to top Venezia. Roma put on a show against Fiorentina, hanging four goals on their foes.
Cagliari vs. Inter
Cagliari had an encouraging start against Parma, besting their relegation struggle rivals thanks to a wonder goal. Inter breezed past Monza.
Lazio vs. Genoa
Lazio had a sound opener, controlling the Bologna game and eventually breaking through. Genoa took it to Napoli for long stretches but faded late.
Napoli vs. Como
Napoli leaned on their subs to sink Genoa thanks to a late push, while Como couldn't find a way to pierce the Udinese defense, settling for a draw.
Juventus vs. Parma
Juventus pulled the strings for most of the Frosinone fixture but risked in the final minutes. Parma were sunk by a wonder goal against Cagliari.
Monza vs. Udinese
Monza are already depleted and did what they could to limit Inter, but the Scudetto holders eventually pulled away, while Udinese stifled Como.
Fiorentina vs. Frosinone
The new-look Fiorentina had a rough start against Roma, while Frosinone stayed in the game against Juventus but couldn't find a stunning equalizer.
Sassuolo vs. Torino
Sassuolo paid the price for some absences and an inexperienced backline against Atalanta in the opener, while Torino were unable to contain Milan.
Milan vs. Venezia
Milan kicked off the Amorin era successfully versus Torino thanks to a second-half one-two punch, while Venezia capitulated at home against Lecce.
Roma vs. Fiorentina
