Paramount+ Assembles Cast For Frasier Sequel

The iconic psychiatrist-turned-radio host is back, with a Frasier sequel in the works! Production starts this week on the new series, which follows Frasier Crane (Kelsey Grammer) in the next chapter of his life as he returns to Boston, Mass., with new challenges to face, new relationships to forge, and an old dream or two to finally fulfill. Frasier has re-entered the building, and he’s got a new inner circle!

Joining Frasier back in Boston is Jack Cutmore-Scott (Kingsman, Deception), who will step into the role of Frasier's son, Freddy, a nuanced combination of his father and grandfather. Years ago, Freddy rejected following in his father’s footsteps—dropping out of college to become a fireman—and never looked back until now, when recent troubles have left him with no one to turn to in his life. If they can overcome past differences, Freddy and Frasier might finally have a chance to repair old wounds.

Nicholas Lyndhurst (Only Fools and Horses, Goodnight Sweetheart) will play Frasier’s old college buddy turned university professor, Alan Cornwall. British, boozy, and larger than life, Alan has an intellect on par with Frasier’s—if only he ever felt like using it.

Making his professional Hollywood debut is Anders Keith, who will play Frasier’s nephew, David–an awkward college freshman with a penchant for off-kilter observations. David has Niles’ intelligence, Daphne’s smile, and neither of their polish. His unearned confidence may confuse some, but Frasier has a fondness for his nephew’s earnest enthusiasm.


Jess Salgueiro (Y: The Last Man, Workin’ Moms) joins the cast as Eve, Freddy’s roommate, who has an innate ability to connect with both Frasier and Freddy–a critical bridge between father and son as they attempt to reconcile.
