Inspired by the recent viral video phenomenon #LipSyncChallenge, CBS will air a new one-hour special entitled Lip Sync To The Rescue, where viewers vote for their favorite video of first responders channeling their inner pop stars and lip-syncing to the hottest music.

Hosted by Cedric The Entertainer, star of the hit CBS sitcom The Neighborhood, Lip Sync To The Rescue will announce the winner live during the broadcast, which will air later this year.

When it first began, #LipSyncChallenge was a fun way for police, sheriff, fire department and EMTs to engage with their communities by creating their own music videos and challenging other departments to do the same—but Lip Sync To The Rescue takes the movement one step further!

"When CBS first approached us with the idea for a special, we had no idea how deep the vault was of Lip Sync Challenge videos," said Robert Horowitz, President of Juma Entertainment, who is producing Lip Sync To The Rescue. "Soon, we uncovered video after video, quickly realizing this phenomenon spread to first responder departments in all 50 states. What made me believe we had a hit on our hands was the incredible performances and production value each video seemed to have."

This interactive special asks fans to rally around their favorite videos and vote for the clips they want to see on air. The Top 10 videos will be revealed during Lip Sync To The Rescue, which will be filmed in front of an audience of first responders, family, and friends. Then, before the hour is up, two videos will advance to a live vote where viewers will choose the winner!

To submit a video for consideration, first responder departments are encouraged to email the video to LS2Rescue@gmail.com.

Deadline for entries is Friday, Apr. 12, and voting opens on CBS.com later this month.
