They say when it rains, it pours—and that couldn't have been truer than during the Season 2 premiere of Kevin Can Wait entitled "Civil Ceremony."

When the family learned that Chale (Ryan Cartwright) faced possible deportation, they rallied together to move Kendra's (Taylor Spreitler) wedding to... that day.
Even Vanessa (Leah Remini), who joined the cast as a regular for Season 2, pitched in and showed her commitment to her former partner's family.
As Kevin (Kevin James) went out to find a priest, Vanessa graciously handled other essentials like the flowers, dress, and impromptu bachelorette party.
Now, that's teamwork, which is something Kevin and Leah know their fair share about.
On the way to the altar, Chale learned his appendix had burst, but even that alarming setback wasn't going to get in the way of this couple and their happily ever after.

At the end of the episode, Kevin grew emotional seeing his daughter all grown up and ready to wed.
"I’m really sorry you’re not getting the wedding you always wanted," he told her before walking her down the aisle.
"Actually, Dad, I am. Thank you," Kendra responded. "You pulled it off. It’s not perfect but... it’s perfect."
