Boris Kodjoe
Biography

In addition to Code Black, Boris Kodjoe is known for his role in the television series Soul Food. The show earned him three NAACP Award nominations for Outstanding Supporting Actor. His other television credits include Last Man on Earth, Undercovers, and The Real Husbands of Hollywood.

His film credits include Resident Evil: Retribution, Resident Evil: Afterlife, Baggage Claim, Love and Basketball, Brown Sugar, Tyler Perry's Madea's Family Reunion, Addicted, The Gospel, and Surrogates. He can be heard in the animated feature Ferdinand, as the German horse, Klaus, opposite John Cena, Kate McKinnon, and Daveed Diggs.

Kodjoe made his debut on Broadway in 2008 in Cat on a Hot Tin Roof, opposite James Earl Jones.

In 2015 Kodjoe and his wife, actress Nicole Ari Parker, took on new roles as daytime talk show hosts in The Boris & Nicole Show. The nationally televised talk show had a four week summer run and presented their take on everything from current events to parenting and relationships, as well as celebrity interviews.

Off-screen, he launched the clothing company World of Alfa with his brother, Patrick Kodjoe, an online clothing venture bringing the luxury of custom-made suits and shirts to market at affordable prices.

Boris' primary interest is raising awareness around health issues in developing countries. He and his wife, Nicole, started the Sophie's Voice Foundation (SophiesVoice.net), in honor of his daughter, Sophie, who was diagnosed with Spina Bifida at birth. Together, they advocate for the prevention of neural tube defects through folic acid fortification.
