Kamp Koral: SpongeBob’s Under Years (Season 2) (July 10)
SpongeBob SquarePants (Season 13) (July 10)

It’s the 25th anniversary of the beloved Nickelodeon series SpongeBob SquarePants, which launched on July 17, 1999. Paramount+ is celebrating this milestone with a refreshed SpongeBob Universe collection, a curated collection of SpongeBob episodes and movies, as well as a SpongeBob takeover on the Paramount+ app-loading screen, new SpongeBob-themed profile avatars that feature fan favorite characters, and three SpongeBob premieres, all debuting Wednesday, July 10.

The all-new Season 2 of the Paramount+ Original series Kamp Koral: SpongeBob’s Under Years finds SpongeBob and all his friends returning to camp for a summer of staying up all night, monster lessons, digging up a prehistoric creature, and having the best time ever! The cast includes Tom Kenny (SpongeBob), Bill Fagerbakke (Patrick), Rodger Bumpass (Squidward), Clancy Brown (Mr. Krabs), Carolyn Lawrence (Sandy), and Mr. Lawrence (Plankton). Carlos Alazraqui and Kate Higgins return from Season 1 as Nobby and Narlene, narwhal siblings who live in the woods surrounding the camp.

The Paramount+ debut of Nickelodeon’s The Patrick Star Show Season 1, meanwhile, follows everyone’s favorite sidekick starfish during his years living at home with his family and hosting his own variety show for the neighborhood from his television-turned-bedroom. Other cast members include Tom Wilson as Cecil Star, Patrick’s happy-go-lucky dad; Cree Summer as Bunny Star, Patrick’s loving and kooky mom; Jill Talley as Squidina Star, Patrick’s 8-year-old sister; and Dana Snyder as GrandPat Star, Patrick’s genius grandpa. Season 13 features original voice cast members Tom Kenny (SpongeBob SquarePants), Bill Fagerbakke (Patrick Star), Rodger Bumpass (Squidward), Clancy Brown (Mr. Krabs), Carolyn Lawrence (Sandy Cheeks) and Mr. Lawrence (Plankton), and current show runners Vince Waller and Marc Ceccarelli.

New Shows on Paramount+ in July 2024

Melissa Etheridge: I’m Not Broken (July 9)
Directed by Brian Morrow and Amy Scott, this two-part docuseries tells an inspiring story of healing and transcendence through the power of music. Five female residents from the Topeka Correctional Facility, a women’s prison in Kansas, write letters to the GRAMMY® Award-winning rockstar and activist Melissa Etheridge, who then uses these letters as inspiration to create and perform an original song. Having recently lost her son to opioids, Etheridge works to understand and interrupt the cycle of addiction while bonding with these women – women who, all too often, have been overlooked by society.

Melissa Etheridge: I’m Not Broken explores themes of female incarceration, redemption, substance abuse, generational trauma, grief, and healing. With female incarceration rates up 700% since 1980, Etheridge’s musical connection with the women serves as an act of empathy, understanding, and hope.

Mafia Spies (July 16)
Based on Thomas Maier’s book Mafia Spies: The Inside Story of the CIA, Gangsters, JFK, and Castro, this action-packed and fully immersive six-part docuseries exposes viewers to real-world spies, gangsters, honeypots, and mistresses, while also unraveling a hidden conspiracy between the CIA and the Chicago mob to assassinate Fidel Castro during a critical Cold War period.

Relying heavily on recently declassified material and premium cinematic recreations, Mafia Spies charts a game of cat and mouse that spanned from Vegas to Miami to Havana, pitting Washington’s strongest players against the most notorious gangsters of the 20th century. The show also explores secret connections between the CIA, the mob, and Frank Sinatra’s Rat Pack – connections that continue to resonate today.

Mafia Spies delves into one of America’s most remarkable espionage plots, and includes exclusive interviews with such notable historians and journalists as Gerald Posner, Tim Weiner, Geoff Schumacher, Stephen Kinzer, Peter Kornbluh, J. Michael Niotta, Professor Boris Nerey Obregon, and Felix Rodriguez. The series also features Sam Giancana’s daughter Antoinette, entertainer Betsy Duncan, and actor Robert Davi.

Big Brother (Season 26 premiere) (July 17 and July 18)
The hit reality CBS competition series kicks off its 26th season as a group of all-new Houseguests moves into the Big Brother House. Expect the unexpected with a season full of twists and turns.

Following its special two-night premiere, the series will air Sundays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays (9:00-10:00 PM, live ET/delayed PT), featuring the live evictions. Julie Chen Moonves returns as host. Paramount+ subscribers with the Paramount+ with SHOWTIME®  plan can stream primetime episodes of Big Brother live as they air on CBS. New, in-season primetime episodes can also be streamed on demand, on the day after they air, with Paramount+ (any plan).

And Paramount+ subscribers and Pluto TV viewers can catch action on the Big Brother Live Feeds via pluto.tv/bblf and paramountplus.com/bblf, respectively.

The latest season focuses on Emmett (Jacob Latimore) as he struggles to balance his blended union to Kiesha (Birgundi Baker) with his perilous partnership with Douda (Curtiss Cook) – who, in turn, is dealing with the fallout of Q’s murder and its effect on his inner circle. Meanwhile, Victor (Luke James) is worried that his past is starting to impact his new role as city councilman, while newlyweds Jada (Yolonda Ross) and Darnell (Rolando Boyce) fears for their son Emmett after watching him make a desperate, life-threatening move.
