Dewey Finn is a down-on-his-luck musician who gets a job as a substitute teacher at a prep school, filling in for a teacher injured in a skateboarding accident. Luckily, for his new pupils, Finn doesn't forget his rock 'n' roll roots as he educates them and inspires students to form a secret rock band and live like rock stars. During the school year, the middle school classmates learn lessons about loyalty and friendships as they continue to discover their unknown talents. The half-hour sitcom is based on the 2003 movie of the same name.
