Garcia, 27, from California, captured the WBC welterweight title in February with his victory over Mario Barrios.
Benn, the 29-year-old son of former middleweight and super-middleweight champ Nigel Benn, and a star in his own right, started his career with 23 straight wins (just like Garcia). The British fighter’s lone career loss was to Chris Eubank Jr. And Benn earned retribution for that by winning the rematch in 2025.

UFC President and CEO Dana White, the founder of Zuffa Boxing, said both fighters have been working toward this matchup.
“Conor Benn has won 26 of his 27 professional fights and is coming off a big win in the U.K. earlier this year,” White said. “Ryan Garcia is one of the biggest stars in boxing and a world champion. These guys are in their prime, and it’s a fight they’ve both wanted for a long time.”
