How do you rank the PAW Patrol pups when they’re all the best at something? Easy. You make them all No. 1!

Ryder and his team of rescue pups have been keeping Adventure Bay safe since 2013, by land, sea, and air. When trouble hits, whether it’s a runaway train or Mayor Humdinger’s latest scheme, Ryder calls in the pups to help get the job done.

You can catch all of the pups in action on Paramount+, where you’ll find everything from full episodes of the original hit Nickelodeon series, plus other shows, specials, and movies from the PAW Patrol franchise, including PAW Patrol: The Dino Movie, streaming starting Thursday, Nov. 12. And for a closer look at the pups and the voices behind them, check out our PAW Patrol Characters & Cast: A Parent’s Guide to Adventure City’s Finest.

PAW Patrol core team members, ranked

1. Chase

PAW Patrol Chase
Paramount+

Why Chase is No. 1: He’s No. 1 at responding to an emergency call!

Chase is the PAW Patrol’s police and spy pup, a German shepherd who calls Ryder “sir,” and patrols in a police cruiser with a megaphone and a net launcher in his pup pack. When Mayor Humdinger cooks up a scheme, “Chase is on the case!” Just keep him away from cats … (He’s allergic.)

1. Marshall

PAW Patrol Marshall
Paramount+

Why Marshall is No. 1: He’s No. 1 at bouncing back!

Marshall has fallen over in every episode of PAW Patrol, but that doesn’t stop him from getting back up every time.

As the team’s fire Dalmatian pup and medic, he answers each call with “I’m fired up!” and a fire truck loaded with a ladder and water cannons. If he trips on the way, it’s a quick “I’m okay!” and back to work. No pup has more practice at resilience.

1. Skye

PAW Patrol Skye
Paramount+

Why Skye is No. 1: She’s No. 1 at patrolling Adventure City from the sky!

Skye is the PAW Patrol’s pilot. Give the cockapoo a helicopter, or just her winged pup pack, and she’s in the air.

From up there, she finds the hikers who wandered off the trail and the critters stuck where no road goes. Her catchphrase says it all: “This pup’s gotta fly!”

1. Rubble

PAW Patrol Rubble
Paramount+

Why Rubble is No. 1: He’s No. 1 at heavy lifting!

“Rubble on the double!” When a road caves in or a rescue path needs digging, Rubble is there with his mighty bulldozer. The English bulldog is the team’s construction pup equipped with a shovel and a drill in his pup pack for the finer work.

When he’s off duty, he’s happiest in a bubble bath, or watching his favorite cartoon hero, Apollo the Super Pup. Want more Rubble? Catch his show Rubble & Crew on Paramount+.

1. Rocky

PAW Patrol Rocky
Paramount+

Why Rocky is No. 1: He’s No. 1 at second chances!

Rocky doesn’t throw anything away. The recycling pup keeps his truck stocked with salvaged parts, and his pup pack has a mechanical claw for grabbing whatever a fix calls for. A bent pipe or an old crate can turn into the exact tool a rescue needs. His motto: “Don’t lose it, reuse it!”

Rocky would also rather stay dry. When a mission heads into the water, he’s happy to leave the splashing to Zuma.

1. Zuma

PAW Patrol Zuma
Paramount+

Why Zuma is No. 1: He’s No. 1 at water rescues!

On the PAW Patrol, Zuma is a chocolate Labrador retriever who rides a hovercraft that works on land and sea, and when a rescue goes underwater, he switches to scuba gear.

When a boater drifts too far out, or Cap’n Turbot needs another assist, Zuma says. “Let’s dive in!” and is the first one in the water.

Other notable PAW Patrol pups, ranked

1. Everest

PAW Patrol Everest
Paramount+

Why Everest is No. 1: She’s No. 1 in the snow!

Everest lives on Jake’s Mountain with her friend, Jake. The Siberian husky is the PAW Patrol’s snow-and-mountain rescue pup, and she plows through drifts in her snowplow, with a grappling hook in her pup pack.

“Ice or snow, I’m ready to go!” When a snowshoe trip runs late, or a sled goes off course, the team can always count on Everest.

1. Tracker

PAW Patrol Tracker
Paramount+

Why Tracker is No. 1: He’s the No. 1 listener!

“I’m all ears!” For Tracker, that’s a job description.

The Chihuahua can hear a call for help from far across the jungle, where he lives with his friend, Carlos. He met the PAW Patrol after he helped save Carlos from a deep pit. Now he heads out in his jungle jeep, swings through the trees on the cables in his pup pack, and switches between English and Spanish on the way with ease.

1. Liberty

PAW Patrol Liberty
Paramount+

Why Liberty is No. 1: She’s the No. 1 tour guide!

Liberty was a PAW Patrol fan before she became an official PAW Patrol pup. When the team visits Adventure City in PAW Patrol: The Movie, the long-haired dachshund shows them around the streets she grew up on and earns a spot on the team.

Since then, she’s gone from a scooter to a motorcycle and from rookie to mentor, guiding the Junior Patrollers in PAW Patrol: The Mighty Movie. She makes her series debut in PAW Patrol Season 9.
