FBI just feels like a classic procedural. The hit CBS drama, now in its eighth season, is set in New York City. It gives off action-movie-in-a-TV-show vibes. And, maybe most important, it boasts an impressive cast, led by Missy Peregrym and Zeeko Zaki.

Lending support to Peregrym and Zaki are actors who may be familiar to you from other series from Emmy®-winning producer and FBI co-creator Dick Wolf – among them, Jeremy Sisto and Alana De La Garza, both vets of Wolf’s Law & Order.

Want to get the full FBI cast list, plus learn more about the characters who put their lives on the line for NYC? Read on!

What is FBI about?

FBI centers on Maggie Bell (Missy Peregrym) and Omar “OA” Zidan (Zeeko Zaki), two agents at the New York City field office of the Federal Bureau of Investigation. The duo thwarts terrorist attacks, tracks down kidnappers and stops cybercriminals before their online plots play out IRL. Keeping the Big Apple safe is more than a fulltime job, and involves that aforementioned action, as well as mystery, timely conflict, and – in classic Dick Wolf fashion – stories ripped from the headlines.

FBI is the anchor of a multi-show franchise that includes FBI: Most Wanted, FBI: International, as well as the upcoming series CIA, slated to air on CBS and stream on Paramount+ in 2026.

Missy Peregrym in FBI
CBS

Who plays Special Agent Maggie Bell on FBI?

Missy Peregrym plays the role of FBI Special Agent Maggie Bell, the heart of the team. Other top credits: Stick It, Rookie Blue

About the character: Though she can more than hold her own when things get tough, Maggie is the first to worry about the human aspect of an investigation, and the real-world effects it has on those involved, be they crime victims or her fellow agents.

Zeeko Zaki in FBI
CBS

Who plays Special Agent Omar “OA” Zidan on FBI?

Zeeko Zaki plays FBI Special Agent Omar “OA” Zidan in FBI. Other top credits: 24: Legacy

About the character: If Maggie is the heart of the team, then Omar is the soul. The former Army Ranger and devout Muslim often struggles to reconcile the different aspects of his persona, and how they affect his day-to-day work, (almost) never letting them get in the way of the job.

Meet the rest of the main and supporting FBI cast

As in other procedurals (and in real life), Maggie and OA can’t do the job on their own. It’s a good thing then that their fellow agents have their backs, both in the field and at FBI headquarters. Let’s get to know some of the FBI characters who support Maggie and OA in their quest to take down the baddest of the bad guys.

Jeremy Sisto in FBI
CBS

Jeremy Sisto as Jubal Valentine

Jeremy Sisto plays the role of Assistant Special Agent in Charge (ASAC) Jubal Valentine. Other top credits: Law & Order, Six Feet Under

About the character: As second-in-command at the New York field office, Jubal is not only Maggie and OA’s boss, he works with the agents and analysts at the Joint Operations Center (JOC … And, by the by, have you noticed that the FBI loves it some acronyms?) to lead investigations and close cases. A career agent, Jubal overcame his rocky past, and is now kind of like the coach of a sports team. He calls the plays, and makes and enforces the rules, all while boosting morale and performance with his high-energy leadership and sense of humor.

Alana De La Garza in FBI
CBS

Alana De La Garza as Isobel Castille

Alana De La Garza plays the role of Special Agent in Charge Isobel Castille. She narrates the true-crime docuseries The FBI Declassified, now streaming on Paramount+. Other top credits: Law & Order, CSI: Miami

About the character: As Special Agent in Charge (SAC – and here we go with those acronyms again …), Isobel runs the FBI’s New York field office. As the big boss, she oversees basically everyone—field agents, analysts, Jubal—with a calm and authoritative attitude. It’s her job to make the tough calls. Responsibilities for the team’s failures land on her, as does the fallout from decisions they make, and she knows that if her team fails, people may die. She’s steadfast in her resolve, as her commanding presence makes clear to all who work with her (or, you know, watch her on their TV screen).

John Boyd in FBI
CBS

John Boyd as Stuart Scola

John Boyd plays the role of FBI Special Agent Stuart Scola. Other top credits: Bones, Argo

About the character: Scola is part of a second team of FBI field agents who occasionally partner with Maggie or OA, except he has a rather different background than that of his colleagues. Scola previously worked at Goldman Sachs on Wall Street. When the events of 9/11 caused him to reconsider his life as a stockbroker, he embarked on a journey from finance bro to FBI agent.

FBI recurring cast + guest stars

While Isolbel and Jubal call the shots, and Maggie, OA, Stuart, and Syd are the ones slapping the handcuffs on the perps, they’d all be drowning in a sea of 1s and 0s if it weren’t for the FBI’s intelligence analysts who, um, analyze intelligence for clues that solve some of the agency’s biggest cases. A number of analysts have passed through the NYC field office over the show’s run, so we’ll just introduce the trio voted Most Deserving of Overtime Pay.

Katherine Renee Kane in FBI
CBS

Katherine Renee Kane as Tiffany Wallace

Katherine Renee Kane plays the role of FBI Special Agent Tiffany Wallace.

About the character: A former NYPD officer who transferred to the FBI, Tiffany is seen on FBI Season 3-Season 7. Personality-wise, she’s a combo of Maggie’s compassion and OA’s stubbornness. And like the rest of her team, she’s a top-notch agent.

Vedette Lim in FBI
CBS

Vedette Lim as Elise Taylor

Vedette Lim plays the role of FBI intelligence analyst Elise Taylor.

About the character Working under Jubal, Elise excels in video analysis, sifting through reams of digital footage to find just the right shot that clearly identifies the bad guy. She’s also an expert in online investigation, especially when it comes to the Byzantine world of social media. But as to whether or not she’s the most social of the analysis trio? We’re sorry, that remains classified.

Taylor Anthony Miller in FBI
CBS

Taylor Anthony Miller as Kelly Moran

Taylor Anthony Miller plays the role of FBI intelligence analyst Kelly Moran.

About the character: Like Elise, Kelly is also instrumental in gathering critical online information, whether it’s in chat rooms, databases, or on social media. While their jobs have some overlap, they’re hardly redundant. If anything, Kelly and Elise are the most simpatico of all of the FBI‘s teams; their skill sets complement each other perfectly.

James Chen in FBI
CBS

James Chen as Ian Lim

James Chen plays the role of FBI intelligence analyst Ian Lim.

About the character: While Ian is an analyst like Elise and Kelly, his specialty is gathering online information that, well, doesn’t want to be gathered. This could mean deep-diving into the dark web, hacking a terrorist’s phone, or accessing a sex-trafficker’s computer. But whatever you do, don’t ask him questions about your WiFi connection. He’ll just tell you to reboot.
