What is FBI True about?

FBI True is a documentary series that shares raw stories from FBI agents as they reveal heart-stopping moments from some of their biggest operations. From FBI co-creator Craig Turk, the show combines interviews, archival footage, dramatic recreations, and expert commentary that expose the real goings-on behind cases involving terrorism, organized crime, kidnappings, murder, and more.

While the FBI franchise is scripted, FBI: True is an unscripted and investigative documentary series where agents give first-person accounts of their work. As they provide an in-depth look at their roles in the solving of crimes, the audience comes to understand the great personal risks these individuals take in the line of duty.

Each episode finds legendary FBI agents sharing coffee or beer with their fellow agents while reliving cases they’ve worked on. Season 8 cases include a hostage situation at a synagogue, the takedown of crime boss John Gotti, a bombing spree in Texas, and an 11-year-old boy’s disappearance in Colorado.

Why you’ll want to watch FBI True

FBI True is a high-stakes, investigative docuseries that grabs you from the first episode – or, should we say, first case. There’s a real emotional weight added to the series from agents recounting actual cases they’ve worked on. You get to go behind the scenes of operations you’ve only heard about on the news or read about in the newspaper.

If you are a true-crime fan, this show is definitely for you. The intricate storytelling brings the crimes and the agents’ subsequent investigations to vivid life. If you love the tension of FBI or Criminal Minds, this series is the real-life counterpart you don’t want to miss.
