What is Dexter®: Resurrection about?
Like the other shows from the Dexter® Universe, Dexter®: Resurrection is about Dexter Morgan (Michael C. Hall). This one finds the anti-hero arisen from his death bed. The alive-and-loving-it Dexter gets in the New York groove, and heads to the Big Apple, where he hopes to find his son, Harrison (Jack Alcott). Dexter and Harrison have – how should we say? – a difficult relationship. (Exhibit A: At the end of Dexter®: New Blood, a disillusioned Harrison shoots Dexter.)
In Dexter®: Resurrection, Dexter is determined to reconcile with his offspring. Once in New York City, though, complications ensue – many of them at the penthouse of one Leon Prater (Peter Dinklage). Prater is a billionaire with an obsession for serial killers, and a habit of hosting serial-killer dinner parties.

About the character: Harrison Morgan was born in Season 4 of the original Dexter® series; he’s the offspring of Dexter and his wife, Rita Bennett (played by Julie Benz on Dexter®). He made an impression on audiences as an infant when he’s seen crying in a pool of his mother’s blood after she was killed by the Trinity Killer. (Always fun times at the Morgan house …) In the Dexter® sequel series, Dexter®: New Blood, a teenaged Harrison reunites with his father. Father and son haven’t seen each other since Harrison was taken to Argentina by his dad’s love interest, Hannah McKay (played by Yvonne Strahovski on Dexter®). In Dexter®: New Blood, Harrison finds his dad in upstate New York. The relationship is strained, and results in Harrison shooting Dexter, which results in Harrison fleeing to New York City, which results in Dexter heading to the metropolis after him, which sets the stage for the action of Dexter®: Resurrection. In Dexter® and Dexter®: Resurrection, Harry appears to Dexter as his troubled son’s conscience, dispensing “Code of Harry” rules, which help Dexter channel his homicidal urges into something arguably more positive (albeit just as deadly). A onetime police detective, Harry adopted the young Dexter after the murder of the boy’s mother.
