A reimagining of the classic parody film series, The Naked Gun was released in theatres on Aug. 1, 2025. The movie follows Los Angeles police Lt. Frank Drebin Jr. (Neeson) as he tries to save the world.
Liam Neeson stars as Drebin. A talented cast joins him. Pamela Anderson plays Beth Davenport, Frank’s love interest, a crime novelist keen on solving the murder of her brother. Paul Walter Hauser fills the role of Capt. Ed Hocken Jr., the son of Ed Hocken, the character played in the original Naked Gun movies by George Kennedy. Danny Huston plays the main antagonist of the film, Richard Cane, and Kevin Durand fills the role of Cane’s henchman, Sig Gustafson.
The Naked Gun brings the Police Squad!/Naked Gun franchise, birthed in the 1980s by the comedy trio of David Zucker, Jim Abrahams, and Jerry Zucker, to modern audiences. Oscar® nominee Seth MacFarlane (Family Guy, Ted) produces. Emmy® winner Akiva Schaffer directs.
