5. Bakari saves Jake
In one of the most pulse-pounding moments of the amazing Season 5 finale, Douda has his man pull a gun on Jake, only for Bakari to emerge with a gun on him. It’s a shocking twist of fate; Jake has been at odds with Bakari all season, especially after he caused the scrap that cost Jemma her pregnancy.
Can this action unite Jake and Bakari, possibly leading Jake down a dangerous road in Season 6? For now, the fans loved that Bakari got a heroic moment.
4. Jake and Papa’s friendship is tested
Jake and Papa have grown so much since Season 1. Recently that growth has been in different directions. Their struggles with each other finally culminate in a shouting match in Episode 9 of Season 5. Jake is upset about Papa being friends with Bakari. On the other hand, Papa feels abandoned ever since Jake and Kevin got girlfriends.
This is the first time since then Papa really stands up for himself. “I ain’t yall f***ing sidekick,” he yells during a passionate speech.

3. When Jada and Darnell get back together … and the wedding of the year!
Although Suede shows himself loyal by staying by Jada’s side during her cancer treatments, fans show they believe Darnell was the man for her all along by voting their Season 5 rekindling as a top moment.
They were high-school sweethearts who had a child, and drifted apart. In the eyes of viewers, Darnell completes his redemption by asking for their own son’s blessing before popping the question. And the season finale wedding is as beautiful as the couple deserves.
2. When Emmett rejects Tiff
Tiffany really goes through a lot of personal trials in Season 5, and she doesn’t always handle them in the best way. Despite signing divorce papers and moving in with her new boyfriend, Rob, she decides to make one last move on Emmett.
Emmett tells her he does love her – she’s the mother of his child, after all – but he’s in a relationship. “That’s never stopped you before,” she replies, leaning in. But this time, Emmett holds firm, and rejects her. Cheating has always been a major weakness of Emmett, but this stance shows he is a changed man. And it gives fans hope for his new relationship …
1. When Kiesha and Emmett get back together
Yes! The Emmett, Kiesha, and Tiffany love triangle take the top two spots in the YouTube poll, with fans most happy to see Kiesha and Emmett back together.
Kiesha had one of the best character introductions in the show, hiding under Emmett’s bed to no avail as Jada sniffs her out instantly. After five seasons of drama, the two find their way back to each other. “What’d I get myself into?” Kiesha asks at one point. “Some real love.” Emmett responds. So, what happens next? There’s only one way to find out.
