1. 7th Heaven
This 1996-2007 drama about the Rev. Eric Camden (Stephen Collins), his wife, Annie (Catherine Hicks), and his seven children was one of the must-watch shows of the decade. The family drama is famous for launching the likes of Barry Watson, Beverly Mitchell, and Jessica Biel.

2. Aaahh! Real Monsters
If you were a real ‘90s kid you most likely loved this 1994-1997 animated series, even though monsters-in-training Ickis, Oblina, and Krumm probably scared you a little bit.

3. Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog
Thanks to this animated series, which premiered in 1993, Sonic was the coolest blue hedgehog on your video-game console — and on your TV. In it, Sonic and his friend Tails, a two-tailed flying fox, fight to protect planet Mobius from the evil Dr. Robotnik.

4. All That
This iconic sketch-comedy show was a launching pad for Kenan Thompson, Kel Mitchell, Nick Cannon, and more. Not only that, it introduced us to hilarious and memorable characters. And it’s where we first heard the immortal words, “Welcome to Good Burger, home of the Good Burger, can I take your order?“

5. The Amanda Show
The Amanda Show premiered on Nickelodeon at the tail end of the 1990s (October of 1999, to be precise), and so it’s primarily a show of the 2000s, but we’ll allow its inclusion here because (a) it’s a spinoff of All That, another series on this illustrious list, and (b) it’s hilarious. Amanda Bynes, an All That cast member for three seasons, stars here in a variety/sketch program, one in which she plays numerous wacky characters. Flanked by equally charismatic castmates, Bynes fully commits to every impression and every exaggerated physical bit. The results? Sidesplitting.
Speaking of those castmates, two of Bynes’s costars on the series, Drake Bell and Josh Peck, later got their own show, aptly called Drake & Josh. You can catch all four seasons of that Nickelodeon sitcom in the very same place you can find The Amanda Show: Paramount+.

6. The Angry Beavers
Remember Daggett and Norbert Beaver? How could you forget them? In this animated series launched in 1997, a pair of beaver brothers leave their parents to try and make it on their own. They could do it too, if only they didn’t keep running into silly situations!

7. Are You Afraid of the Dark?
Do the hairs on the back of your neck stand up just from reading the show’s title? We feel you. You probably need to revisit this kid-friendly ghost story anthology series to see if you still get as spooked as you did watching it for the first time in the early ’90s.

8. Beavis and Butt-Head
Not all animated ‘90s shows were meant to be for children. This groundbreaking show from Mike Judge about a duo of crude, but funny friends was a huge hit with both teens and adults.
See the boys navigate the 21st century in Mike Judge’s Beavis and Butt-Head, the Paramount+ original animated series that produced two seasons from 2022-2023. 10. CatDog
This animated series about half-cat, half-dog brothers was probably one of your favorite childhood series. Not only does it prompt silly questions about animal anatomy, the show features amusing animal characters such as CatDog’s neighbor Winslow T. Oddfellow, the many-jobbed Rancid Rabbit and the poodle greaser Shriek.

11. Celebrity Deathmatch
This show, which premiered in 1998, answers the question: What if all your favorite celebrities and cartoons were made of clay, and fought each other… to the death? Celebrity Deathmatch features stop-motion, clay-animated stars facing off against one another. We’re talking Mariah Carey battling Jim Carrey, Larry King pummeling Geraldo Rivera, and Hanson taking down the Spice Girls. You can’t look away from the mayhem … nor do you want to.

12. Clarissa Explains It All
’90s icon Melissa Joan Hart is Clarissa Darling in this teen sitcom, a show that guided teens of the era through all sorts of real-life situations – and some truly goofy ones, too. Bet you can still remember the super-cool intro where she writes out all the credits in a colorful marker.

13. Daria
With her heavy bangs, oversized glasses, combat boots and deadpan delivery, Daria Morgendorffer was balm to the soul of alternative ’90s girls everywhere. The animated series, premiered in 1997, lifts up artists, nerds, and weirdos, while poking fun at high-school politics and family-home dynamics.

14. Gullah Gullah Island
Admit it: You haven’t been able to get the Gullah Gullah Island theme song out of your head since the show first aired in 1994. The educational kids’ show, based on the traditions of the Gullah Geechee people, teaches children about respecting cultures, and getting along together.

15. Guts
Do you still dream of climbing the Aggro Crag? We feel you. This Nickelodeon sports competition series hosted by Mike O’Malley (Glee) sees young contestants competing against each other in cool events. Airbourne archery, anyone? How about a bodyboard race? You can catch every amazingly athletic moment any time you want to. Just don’t try ’em at home.

17. Hey Dude
The Bar None Ranch is a little wild, a little strange – and a whole lot of fun! Before Christine Taylor became a movie star (Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story, The Brady Bunch Movie), she was summer ranch employee Melody Hanson on the ’90s comedy series Hey Dude. The show finds her, her fun-loving colleagues, and her cheerfully inept boss getting into Western hijinks among the heat, hay, and horses. What’s not to love?

18. Kenan & Kel
Back in 1996, All That stars Kenan Thompson and Kel Mitchell got their own show – and we all got some great laughs. We also got a theme song by rap legend Coolio called, “Aw, Here It Goes!” Not only is it an absolute banger, its title is Kel’s catchphrase (deployed whenever Kenan comes up with a hair-brained scheme). What we’re saying is, it’s totally time to giggle (and dance) along with this series again.

19. Legends of the Hidden Temple
These days, you’re mostly running through your errand list, but we know you’d much rather be running through Olmec’s temple. Don’t worry, though. The Shrine of the Silver Monkey is still waiting. Paramount+ offers all three seasons of the Kirk Fogg-hosted, Nickelodeon action-adventure game show, so there’s nothing standing between you and a rewatch. Not even the Temple Guards.

21. Rocko’s Modern Life
As any kid of the raddest decade (um, that would be the ’90s) can tell you, Rocko is a wallaby, one who first graced our television screens in 1993. It’s time to revisit this Australian-accented fellow and the rest of the gang: Heffer, Filburt, Spunky, the Bigheads. 22. Sabrina The Teenage Witch
Another Melissa Joan Hart show? Of course! For audiences of a certain age, MJH was the queen of ‘90s TV. After graduating from Clarissa Explains It All, Hart moved onto this magical hit. As Sabrina Spellman, the teen witch of pop-culture lore, Hart deals with high school, her two aunts, her talking cat — and her burgeoning powers.

23. Salute Your Shorts
Admit it: As a kid, you totally wanted to spend your summers hanging out with campers Donkeylips, Sponge, Dina, and the rest of the gang at Camp Anawanna. Even now, you wonder if there’s room for you as a camp counselor alongside the sublimely doltish Kevin “Ug” Lee.
