2026 marks the 60th anniversary of the original Star Trek, as well as the debut of the franchise’s latest TV series, Star Trek: Starfleet Academy. To mark both milestones, Paramount+ is hosting a week-long, citywide celebration in San Francisco, which, as both longtime Star Trek fans and new Starfleet Academy viewers know, is the fabled home of Starfleet.
Local institutions and businesses are joining the event, dubbed Go Boldly SF, which will run from Thursday, Feb. 12 to Thursday, Feb. 19. Select activations will continue through Sunday, March 29.
Among the highlights: The San Francisco Public Library will offer a Star Trek-themed library card (like you see in the picture above!) at each of its 28 public libraries and four bookmobiles during the promo week; Blue & Gold Fleet Cruise will offer a total of 12 Star Trek-themed cruises around San Francisco Bay on weekends from Saturday, Feb. 14 through Sunday, March 22; and, Alamo Drafthouse Cinema New Mission movie theatre will offer select screenings of Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home (costarring no less than the City by the Bay) from Friday, Feb. 13 to Sunday, Feb. 22.

The fun doesn’t end there. A handful of retailers along San Francisco’s Pier 39 will offer a free Starfleet Academy bag and pin (from Feb. 12-19, while supplies last) to customers who spend a minimum of $15 per person.
Participating Pier 39 retailers can be identified with a Vulcan salute sticker – something like, you know: 🖖 – affixed on their front door or window. Just say the phrase, “Live long and prosper,” to obtain your swag at the following Pier 39 retailers:
