What is Sheriff Country about?

Sheriff Country follows the straight-shooting interim sheriff Mickey Fox (Morena Baccarin) as she patrols the streets of Edgewater, California. She balances her demanding work life with her complicated family life. She is currently in charge of the department, and juggles keeping her town safe and the residents happy whenever duty calls.

At home, she has a daughter struggling with a drug addiction, and a father who is an off-the-grid marijuana grower. Needless to say, things can get a little dramatic at home for Mickey.

At work, she is currently the interim sheriff, but is ready to become the permanent sheriff of a town she loves and grew up in. The series is more than just a cop show. It’s a show that is not afraid of the darker storylines that highlight personal connections and the tight-knit, small-town community that draws viewers in. If you are a fan of Fire Country or Blue Bloods, you will love this spinoff series.

How does Sheriff Country relate to Fire Country?

Sheriff Country and Fire Country exist in the same universe and follow the sheriff’s office and fire department in Edgewater, California, respectively. Sheriff Mickey Fox appears in several episodes of Fire Country, where it is revealed that she is the stepsister of Sharon (Cal Fire Division Chief on Fire Country) and aunt of Bode (a firefighter and main character on Fire Country).

The spinoff series, Sheriff Country, sets up a crossover with Fire Country in the premiere, with Bode stopping by to talk to his cousin Skye. Sharon also makes an appearance in several episodes from the first season.
