Kayce Dutton may have moved on from Yellowstone Ranch, but the fan-favorite Yellowstone character faces new drama in Marshals, the upcoming CBS Original series from the world of Yellowstone. The show follows Kayce as he joins an elite unit of the U.S. Marshals service in Montana.
Formerly known by its working title, Y: Marshals, Marshals is executive produced by Yellowstone co-creator Taylor Sheridan, and stars Luke Grimes reprising his Yellowstone role, Kayce Dutton.
Premiering Sunday, March 1, Marshals airs on CBS, and streams on Paramount+, with new episodes streaming live as they air on CBS via the Paramount+ Premium plan, and streaming on demand on the day after they air on CBS via any Paramount+ plan. The show features a team of new characters you’re bound to fall in love with, and starts a new Yellowstone era where law-enforcement drama dominates.

What is Marshals about?
Marshals is a Yellowstone spinoff that follows Kayce Dutton (Luke Grimes) as he leaves his ranch life behind to join an elite unit of the U.S. Marshals. Kayce combines his skills as a cowboy and a Navy SEAL to bring justice to Montana. He and his teammates must balance family, duty, and the high psychological cost that comes with serving as the last line of defense in the region’s war on violence.

Marshals is executive produced by Taylor Sheridan along with David C. Glasser executive producing for 101 Studios, as well as John Linson, Art Linson, Spencer Hudnut, Luke Grimes, Ron Burkle, David Hutkin and Bob Yari.
Hudnut (SEAL Team) is the showrunner of Marshals.
The Marshals premiere episode, “Piya Wiconi,” is written by Hudnut, and directed by Emmy® and Golden Globe® winner Greg Yaitanes (House, House of the Dragon).
Marshals is Sheridan’s first series for CBS – and the latest in a long, rich line of dramas to stream on Paramount+. Sheridan is the creator of the Yellowstone origin stories, 1923 and 1883, the creator of Tulsa King and Lioness, the co-creator of Landman and Mayor of Kingstown, and an executive producer of Lawmen: Bass Reeves.
