Jumpin’ jellyfish! Nickelodeon has declared Tuesday, July 14, as SpongeBob Day, a new, annual celebration held on SpongeBob SquarePants’ birthday in the series. The first SpongeBob Day includes programming, live events, game updates, and new reveals across Nickelodeon platforms. If you’re celebrating at home, Paramount+ is one place to spend the BEST. DAY. What is SpongeBob Day?
It’s the most F.U.N. day of the year! SpongeBob Day is Nickelodeon’s new celebration of SpongeBob SquarePants. The first annual SpongeBob Day event takes place on Tuesday, July 14, 2026, which lines up with SpongeBob’s birthday established within the series.
This year’s celebration includes a TikTok Live hosted by Tom Kenny, the voice of SpongeBob SquarePants. Beginning at 6 PM ET / 3 PM PT, he’ll share behind-the-scenes stories, alternate endings for the episode “Shanghaied,” previews of upcoming holiday specials (SpongeBob SquarePants “Merry Christmas, Mr. Plankton” and The Patrick Star Show “Scary Tales” Halloween episode), and other sponge-tacular announcements. Nickelodeon is also celebrating across television, digital platforms, games, music, and live experiences.
