What is Star Trek: Starfleet Academy about?
Set in the 32nd century, Star Trek: Starfleet Academy is about a group of Starfleet cadets navigating friendships, rivalries, and romance while confronting a new enemy that threatens the entire Federation. They juggle all of this while training to be officers under a demanding faculty. The show takes place onboard the U.S.S. Athena, a Federation starship that docks at Starfleet Academy’s San Francisco campus, but can also be deployed for space missions.
Alex Kurtzman and Noga Landau are Star Trek: Starfleet Academy’s co-showrunners and executive producers. Kurtzman has served as executive producer on Star Trek: Discovery, Star Trek: Strange New Worlds, Star Trek: Picard, and Star Trek: Lower Decks.
