Biography
MATTHEW DADDARIO is a born and bred New Yorker who has received a degree in Business Economics from Indiana University, prior to pursuing his passion in acting.

Matthew finished his third and final season on Freeform’s YA-adaption, SHADOWHUNTERS. The series is based on the popular “Mortal Instrument” books written by Cassandra Clare. Matthew stars in SHADOWHUNTERS as a series regular playing the character "Alec," alongside Katherine McNamara, Dominic Sherwood, Alberto Rosende, Emeraude Toubia, Harry Shum Jr. and Isaiah Mustafa. He has won two Teen Choice awards for Breakout Star and Choice Syfy Actor.

Prior to Matthew's foray into television, he landed the lead role in his last 4 films including PUSH (with Victoria Justice), the reboot of CABIN FEVER (executive produced by Eli Roth), Thomas Carter's WHEN THE GAME STANDS TALL (opposite Jim Caviezel), Kristin Hanggi's NAOMI & ELY'S NO KISS LIST (alongside Victoria Justice) and Drake Doremus' BREATHE IN (opposite Guy Pierce and Felicity Jones), which premiered at the 2013 Sundance Film Festival.

His other film and tv credits include Dreamworks' DELIVERY MAN, alongside Vince Vaughn and directed by Ken Scott, as well as independent films GROWING UP AND OTHER LIES and 36 SAINTS and CBS’s drama , TOMMY, starring Edie Falco.
