Wells Fargo Responds To A Former Employee Who Warned Them About Sham Accounts
Wells Fargo responds to Yesenia Guitron's allegations of retaliation and wrongful discharge. Guitron's story is highlighted in the fourth episode of Whistleblower.

In 2010, Yesenia Guitron blew the whistle on Wells Fargo. She says her managers harassed her and retaliated against her when she warned them about fraudulent activity. She says she was fired.
CBS reached out to the company for an interview and they provided the following statement.

"In response to your inquiry, we wanted to share the following:
In 2010, Yesenia Guitron voluntarily resigned from her position at Wells Fargo. The District Court judge dismissed her lawsuit, that dismissal was affirmed by the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals. We consider the matter resolved.
At Wells Fargo, we are committed to providing a retaliation-free workplace where all team members feel comfortable raising their hand and expressing a concern. Anything less is unacceptable."
