When she knocked some sense into Arthur about Franco's education.

In the Season 2 premiere episode "What The Truck?," Randy stuck up for Franco (Jermaine Fowler) by approaching Arthur (Judd Hirsch) after he denied the young Chicagoan time to take SAT prep courses.

She not only insisted that Arthur stop being selfish about the situation, but also explained that Franco's desire for higher education wasn't "about him."

Randy just has a way with words that helps others see the situation for what it is, instead of what it means for them.

When she didn't fall for Sofia's food bribe.

When Sofia (Diane Guerrero) moved her food truck outside to sell organic grub, Officer DeLuca went outside to scope out the scene and see if the young entrepreneur's truck met regulations.

That's when Sofia offered up a meal on the house, to which Randy replied, "Chicago PD doesn't take bribes."

There's no smooth-talking this slick cop.

When she knew exactly how she wanted her coffee.

Sometimes you're in a rush and just need your morning cup 'o joe to get the day started off right.

"Listen, I want a cup of coffee... no cream, no sugar, no chit chat," stated Randy, during an early morning stop by the donut shop.

She even threatened to go to a different coffee shop if they didn't serve what she wanted.

Now, that's how you order a coffee—straight to the point.

After Randy's partner left Chicago PD, she was taking on the work of "one-and-a-half cops." That meant 10-hour shifts alone in the most dangerous areas of the city.

Even though she was frustrated, saying, "This city is so broke, they can’t afford enough cops," she toughed it out for the good of Chicago.

When she kept it real with Franco.

In "Is There A Problem Officer?," Randy and Franco struggled to see eye to eye when a video of Randy being aggressive during a traffic stop surfaced.

Even when Franco questioned her cop capabilities, Randy was ready to prove to him just how hard her work was and what it meant to be a female officer working alone at night.

When she didn't want—or need—anyone's sympathy after an injury.

After getting hurt on the job, Randy was quick to deflect any and all sympathies that her friends had to offer.

Comfort was the last thing this cop needed because she was just doing her job.

When Randy was back in the shop, she made it clear that she was just fine taking care of herself—even in pain and discomfort.
